Conversations with the Godhead
Too often, we believers do not know or believe The Godhead can be a constant ever present part of our every day lives in regular day to day activities.
I used to be like that too.
I thought The Godhead is for during prayers and in times of trouble only.
I used to be like that too.
Till I heard years ago before I got married, a woman talk about how the Holy Spirit took her bowling one time when she was really down, and He told her - "Get up, let me take you out"
They got to the Bowling place and it was not yet open but the guy in charge somehow let her in that she could have the place to herself before opening time (that was God paying for their Date)
And they had a great time bowling together.
They literally took turns rolling the Ball and she laughed so much at how the Holy Spirit kept knocking the Pins in different formations.
I was wowed. And I said I was going to have that too.
And I did, I do. So, let me share with you how much The Godhead is with us. To motivate you to get close to these Friend and Father and Lord who love you so much more than you can imagine.
1. One time, Andrew was looking for his maths notebook. We searched everywhere but didn't find it.
I told him to leave it and go to bed that we will find it in the morning. 10mins later, he shouted "Mummy, I found it"
I asked how he found it.
He said "I was lying down on my bed when my legs started moving on their own and walked to my Toy box. My body bent and my hands moved the puzzle box away, and under it was my book. I didn't walk by myself, Mummy. Is it possible for God to walk someone's legs?"
Yes, it is, son. Yes, it is.
2. I was sitting, chatting on my phone recently when Abba spoke.
Abba: You are not drinking enough water again. Increase your water intake.
Me: Okay, Abba
Abba: That means 'Get up and drink water now'
Me: Yessir
I got up and drank water.
Later that night as I was about to sleep
Abba: Go and get a bottle of water and put by your bedside
Me: I'm not going to drink water in the night
Abba: Yes, you will. Go and get it.
I got it.
In the night when I woke up to pray
Abba: Drink water before you start
After I finished
Abba: Drink more water and ease yourself before sleeping.
🤣🤣🤣
Yes, Abba can be quite a Mother Hen
3. One time I was cooking in the Cooking Studio - Bulk Cooking so I had a lot of things going on at the same time.
It was time to turn the Amala so I looked round for my big Spatula, then remembered I left it in my small kitchen.
Kai! I didn't want to switch off the burners and run to the other kitchen.
But I didn't have a choice.
As I reached to start switching off, I just heard a soft 'plop' beside me. I turned, and there was my big spatula, dropped right beside me. In the same place I just placed the pot of water.
Me: Holy Spirit, thank You so much
Holy Spirit: You are welcome
4. A couple of years back, Andrew woke up with his eyes slightly red. I didn't make too much of it but as the morning progressed it got redder and had crusted over, and he told me it was feeling dry, itchy and gritty.
I realised it was Apollo.
Immediately, I delved into my home treatment knowledge - keep it clean, clean each eye separately, fluids and lots of Vit C. I said 'Moringa has lots of Vit C, let me make that for him first'. So I went to make that.
Less than 10mins, I handed it to him.
As I did, I realised his eyes were clearing up, right in front of me. I stared at him and the redness was fading, the crust was literally disappearing. I kept staring
Andrew: Mummy, what is it?
Me: Your eyes. They are clearing up
Andrew: Yes. When you went to make the Moringa, I told Jesus I don't want to have Apollo. And He said okay
In 30mins, his eyes were back to normal.
Jesus and children ehn.
5. Yesterday night, Andrew and I were playing a game of 'Guess the hand'
He got every single one
Me: How are you getting each one???
Andrew: (falling over with laughter) The Holy Spirit is telling me
Me: Holy Spirit, that's not fair!
Holy Spirit: (laughing with Andrew) But, it's fun
Me: *corner eye*
6. One night, I was sleeping when it started raining heavily.
I pulled the covers over me and settled down to sleep even deeper, when I suddenly felt the wind blow rain through the window near to me.
I didn't want to get up to close the window because that would wake me.
Me: Holy Spirit, please don't let the rain enter
Holy Spirit: Okay
The wind changed direction and the rain stopped entering. I slept and enjoyed my sleep.
I can go on and on.
So many to share.
But for now, I just want you to understand from these ones I've shared, that your Father is not a distant Father.
Your God is not a faraway God
When Jesus said - "I am with you always, even to the end of the world", He meant it.
They are ALWAYS with you.
At no point are you ever alone.
It is up to you to now involve Them in your everyday life.
The Holy Spirit will help you in Jesus name 🙏🏾
